Review: This was such a surprise 5 star read as I picked it up on a whim, super fast paced and kept me intrigued the whole time. Really quick read but definitely had some heavy topics, recommend looking up TW before going in. Great tension throughout literally couldn't put it down.

Review: This was a really good story in the beginning. Riches to rags and so on. an addictive set of parents, a younger sister to protect that didn’t work out and then a waitressing job to earn some money before becoming a socialite on the arm of a charming young sociopath/psychopath. Not bad until the end when it got all pathetic and moralistic and full of feminist rot which, being female myself, I really cannot stand. There’s a bit too much ‘I said’ ‘he said’ as well but there’s more. A plot hole. The doctor had never seen Isabel who was not actually a nurse. Yet, in the time it takes for orderlies to attempt to subdue a patient she manages apparently, to get a blood report and a phone containing a partial confession not only to isabel but then, in the same timeframe, Isabel manages to get said recording processed, written up and given to a newscaster even before Rose has left the hospital. Imagine that. Of course, if you like happily ever after psychological dramas then this book is certainly for you but, if like me, it’s just the kind of thing you find too syrupy then do yourself a huge favour and give this one a miss.
