Review: This is a fast-paced frantic adventure that is sure to be a hit with train-loving youngsters. I can highly recommend Peter Bently's books. He's a highly talented rhyming author and we've yet to come across a story of his that we haven't enjoyed. The illustrations by Steve Cox are bold, bright and enticing, making this an all round triumph of a tale. The only criticism I would have is that this particular book is unusually large (or at least the edition we have is), which makes it difficult to hold in such a way that a group of children (ie at a school or nursery) can all see the pictures together, which is a shame. But it's perfect for sharing 1-1 with a little one on your lap.

Review: This is one of my 3yo son's current favourite books since I bought it for him last month. He keeps asking for it at bedtime. The writing has a similar flow to Julia Donaldson's books and fans of her should also enjoy this book.
