Review: Another beautiful collection of classic mystery short stories, the third Christmas assortment box, as the editor put it, from the British Library Crime Classics series. The works span a period of some half a century (right into the 1960s) and each of them is a gem in its own right. One is even a horror tale of sorts (by John Dickson Carr aka Carter Dickson) and the last and longest one (from 1965 by Julian Symons) reads like a modern thriller. I always read these anthologies during the festive season having a genuine Christmas treat!
