Review: When you read the book, there's no doubt that it is really God Himself speaking to St. Catherine of Siena. It took me three months to read it, because I really had to go line by line. There's SO MUCH in there. "The Dialogue" explained a lot of things to me that I hadn't understood before or was wobbly on.

Review: I have been studying the life of St. Catherine of Siena, and am fascinated by her spiritual journey and the enduring influence she has had on the Church. I'm only part way through this book (The TAN Classic version), but it is proving difficult. The translation uses a lot of Olde English (thees and thous and thys), which makes it tough to follow the train of thought of this great mystic who put down to writing what God revealed to her (Catherine's native language would have been a local Tuscan dialect). I'm very sorry to give this book a low rating, but I wish there were a better translation. If anyone knows of one, I'd love to hear about it. Blessings to all!
