Review: This book arrived today and I've already bookmarked all the things I want to try! The photographs are clear, as are the instructions, and each square has a diagram to follow as well, I've only been crocheting for just under 2yrs and I'm starting to follow diagrams a bit better so I like patterns that include them. There are some patterns at the back of the book as well so there's plenty to get your teeth into, the patterns also include the page number for the granny squares you'll be making for a project which makes life a lot easier. Each square and pattern is rated easy/intermediate so, if you're like me and just start something without looking properly you know why you're struggling more than normal. It's also a great way to find something to challenge yourself! I think a couple of patterns might be the same/similar just using different colours but I only saw them when I 1st flipped through the book and they weren't squares I bookmarked in the end so I may be wrong but I only noticed it with 1 pattern. I can't wait to start making some squares and trying the shawl and 1 of the blanket designs in the back. There's information at the start about the usual things like the types of hooks available, different stitches, abbreviations etc which are useful for beginners and I still use the symbol chart for the pattern diagrams. It doesn't take up a lot of space so it doesn't feel as if you're sacrificing room for more square designs etc for information you might already know but it still packs plenty of information in. This is definitely worth owning to dip in and out of and if like me you use uk stitch terms it's worth having a book with different stitches in that gives both terms or just hop on YouTube. I think only 2 or 3 of my pattern books are UK stitch terms so I'm used to it now but worth mentioning if someone is very new to crochet because it can feel like a nuisance in the beginning.

Review: I love this book however it state that yarn weight and hook size is written in every pattern to make to the size... I cant find a single mention of any of these in any pattern... If you can please show me where?!.. As such i cant make every square to form a blanket quite a large ommission from a crochet square book ????
