Review: This one is so interesting with loads of cliff hangers between chapters. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only criticism is that the English police would not have called anyone Maam. Perhaps the author needs to get UK people to spot words we wouldn't use here before print next time. Gurney isn't used here either. We can tell this wasn't the work of a British based author. An excellent read never the less.

Review: As a big fan of history and a medical person I enjoyed the theme of this book. It was a fascinating incite into the workings of the apothecary. I also liked the way Caroline finding the glass vial in the water linked the present day to the past. However I felt the writing was a little weak and there were a few Americanisms that slipped through, such as Nella referring to " the trash". But I did enjoy the book. It was recommended to me and I would do the same.
