Review: It is a long time since I read the story and this was bought for a child. All Beatrix Potter illustrated stories have wonderful, water colour illustrations, the writing matches the water colour and I believe might give a child a method appreciating that which is fine and that which is less so. The story is good and quite scary for a young child, and as I recall is quite exciting with a good ending. Having had all of the stories read to me when I was small child, has caused me to inflict them upon nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
