Review: Well on the plus side it's better than the last Kelly book I read - 'The House on Willow Street' but frankly that's not hard as that book was so awful I haven't read anything of hers since. It's a simplistic feelgood tale based on rather generic storylines - the rich woman who learns that family is more important than money, the career woman struggling with motherhood and the fat girl who triumphs over her mean thin friend. Kelly could probably write this kind of thing in her sleep and in this case if feels as if she has. The connnection between the three women is non-existent till near the end when they all meet and form a rather unlikely instant friendhip. It is readable though and kept my attention to the end - but given the price I was rather shocked at the poor quality of the editing - Sam is described as 'petite with untameable caramel curls' in the first section - later on she has become 'tall and slim' with sleek dark hair! Nowhere near as good as her early books, I would advise anyone who isn't an ardent fan to wait till they reduce the price.
