Review: This is an awesome book. It is very practical and I found myself wanting to read ever word as it was on based very much from the bible!! It is challenging, convicting but also has fun stories and analogies- it’s not just preaching rules . But is honest, fun, clear writing. Jaquelle gets straight to the point without being blunt and boring. It is a highly recommend book. I am 16 years old! My favourite part was when Jaquelle explained the gospel full story in a really descriptive way!

Review: I really appreciated this author's heart for Jesus and her vision for this book. The first few chapters about identity in Christ and Christian worldview were brilliant. However, most of the second half of the book was a bit heavy on spiritual disciplines, working harder in the faith, etc. I 100% believe in challenging Christian teens to more. I don't think this will push them away. On the contrary, giving teens something compelling and challenging to live for, will make them less likely to leave the faith - as opposed to youth group just focusing on casual, fun activities that don't really matter or relate to anything significant. However, I am starting with the assumption that even teens who have grown up in church need to be converted also. They each need to come to a point where they find Jesus compelling and beautiful and decide to follow him. Until that happens, giving them lists of spiritual disciplines is just counterproductive and anxiety-inducing. Trying to squeeze Christ-like actions out of people who haven't been transformed by Christ won't work. I wish that Crowe had expanded on the first two chapters and let that be the entire book. I wish it had simply been a compelling Gospel presentation to teens in church, that following Jesus is most challenging and most joyful thing they will ever do, and that being a part of God's mission to rescue people is the greatest adventure in history. Then, after that, maybe a follow up book on some practical steps.
