Review: Loved this book, the Author has a special affinity with past and present. I couldn't wait to read it from cover to cover, characters brought to life by storytelling.

Review: And the but is purely a proof-reading/editing issue. This was a really good book, well crafted, well written, but oh, how it irks me when there are basic errors that stop me in my tracks when I'm absorbed in a book. A couple of example of this were the word hoards, being used instead of hordes, and phased, instead of fazed. I do realise that basic spellchecks don't pick up these kind of errors, but a good proofreader should!! Other than that, I've read a couple of Barbara Erskine's works so far and will probably read more.
