Review: I first read this book quite a number if years ago an remember it as being very interesting and enthralling. Not at all as I had expected from Ben Elton. This year I was wondering which book to buy for my sister as a Christmas stocking filler when I remembered The Two Brothers. She normally reads all the Liverpool sagas but feel sure she will enjoy it too so I bought it again. You can bet I will borrow it to read once again.

Review: I tend to read at night - the next evening couldn't come quickly enough! Some contrivances of a plot enable a disturbing, well-researched, well- written and worrying tale of mankind's capabilities to be revealed. Never mind that this is 80 or 90 years old in its setting, it reminds us still, and maybe even more so in 2022, that atrocities still consume the minds of peoples all over the world - Europe, middle east, far-east: humanity is a misused term! A stunning read.
