Review: My 2yr old daughter and I love this book. It introduces the idea of belonging and families in a very easy way with a simple sentence on each page 'we belong together because you needed a home and we had one to give' etc. As a single parent I was able to edit when reading exchanging 'we' for 'I' or 'Mummy' etc. It is bright and colourful with 'friendly' pictures. As the pictures are simple sketches it was no problem for my daughter and I decide the characters in the pictures were various other family members such as grandad, aunty etc - so the two parent pictures which can sometimes be difficult when there's no Daddy in the family weren't an issue.
