Review: I felt sluggish generally and so decided to buy this. I had the worst diet of anyone I'd ever known - never had a weight problem (didn't particularly want to lose weight, though I probably will) - but I ate lots of crisps, sweets, dairy etc. I embarked upon this (I also bought the first 'You Are What You Eat' book) and am now so excited about food! The best thing is that much of this stuff (esp salmon!) doesn't take any longer to prepare than my previously precious cheese on toast and is so much more tasty. Initially I felt bereaved but it really is a matter of re-educating your tastebuds and after a while you no longer crave rubbish foodstuffs. It's DEFINITELY worth it! I agree Gillian isn't the most appealing television presence, and the 'Doctor' business is frustrating for at least one of Amazon's reviewers, but I don't care - this is a FANTASTIC book.

Review: My family and I have a good healthy diet and we thought that this book could introduce some more improvements into what we already know is a healthy diet. Having watched the series, I too was looking forward to what sounded like some interesting healthy recipes to try. All the recipes we have tried, we have found to be pretty tasteless. I have changed a number of ingredients in the recipes and have found them to be much more acceptable. The much loved childrens recipes of "Chickpea Burgers" was a huge disaster with my toddler son, who quickly disposed of them in the bin. I cannot believe that people who have been on a fastfood diet laden with fats and additives would enjoy these recipes. I too cannot recommend this book and also believe that the taste tests displayed by the guests must have been put on for the cameras!!!
