Review: This book is a 'remake' of four classic Greek myths in the typical ‘aliens’ style. It is somewhat funny and a decent introduction to the material . Our daughter, being a history nut, was already more than familiar with each fo these stories. But she found it an entertaining read. We have quite a few books in the this series. Parents will probably not appreciate the style of these books, with many of the words emphasised and printed in capital letters and with only basic black and white illustrations printed on crude paper - It’s more about an overall style that draws children in, than narrative. And I find these mildly humorous books a bit tedious for parents that want to use them for guided reading or to read them to their children. And they are not even as scary as the real thing. Yet for about 5 GBP it is modest value for money.
