Review: Edit: Upon further reflection on the book, I've rated it higher. I would say it's a good starting point if you are looking at an alternative to conventional medicine for treating fatigue. It led me to do additional research and this research led me to seriously consider getting some testing done and finding a practitioner. I am a bit of a skeptic but I do feel there are some helpful points in this book. Near the beginning it explains why conventional medicine has failed fatigue sufferers and gets into the science of fatigue in simple, easy to understand terms. The book discusses the importance of dealing with both physical and psychological compotents that are common in people with fatigue related conditions. I particularly found helpful the psychology aspect of the book. If you are going to put this book into practice, you need to do it with alternative or private health care professionals. The psychology side you might be able to manage on your own but there's a lot of suggestions on different types of medical tests that should be done which I can imagine will cost quite a bit. These tests need to be done before you start recovering. I wouldn't think the NHS would do all these. So all in all I do feel I benefited from parts of the book. I don't feel so convinced that he is right in his approach that I'm willing to pay the money for the tests he suggests or go to his clinic even though I wish I was. Parts of the book just didn't resonate with me. So like any treatment option, you'll have to take time to decide if this approach is right for you.
