Review: This and the first book are SO sweet. I really adore the main character and her journey trying to figure herself out as a person and also in a way growing up. I've read the first one so many times and was super excited for this one to come out! I was not disappointed!! This book really has her facing some new changes that Garlic may or may not be ready for and the book does a great job showing, you know? That's ok! Some changes are good, some are bad and some we're just not ready for but not much can be done about it but it's what we do and how we handle those changes that makes us as a person. And surrounding yourselves with the right kind of people who will support you is also a wonderful thing. Makes the changes a little less scary. Without spoiling to much, Garlic finds herself on another adventure that takes her out into the world where she sees a lot of new things. Not to mention her body is also changing(but not in the way one would think) and the story explains how she deals with both. It helps to know she is not alone with her changes. I was not expecting to tear up a few moments while reading this and the ending really got to me in a good way. Such a wonderful and cute book! The art is amazing and all of the characters are fun and have a a lot of character to them. I could stare at the backgrounds all day. I honestly love the lore that the artist has created and made for this little world and while I get the feeling this may be the last adventure for Garlic(maybe?), I do hope we get to see more of this world with different characters and adventures!
