Review: Bought on the recommendation of an (American) friend, this book has fast become invaluable in my kitchen taking you through pretty much how to cook everything — just like the title says. Although American, this book does come with an easy-to-follow conversion guide at the back. I’ve no idea how Mark Bittman has done it — I don’t think I’ll ever get through every suggestion in this book, let alone in his others! Highly recommended for everyone from beginners to more experienced cooks; there’s bound to be something new to learn or try.

Review: Book fine but shipping was horrible. book was placed in a large box with no packing or padding so when it arrived the book cover was torn in several places because it bounced around inside the box during transit. This was a gift and the book looked used with the torn cover jacket. partial refund would be nice. It was too late to return for replacement as it was a birthday gift
