Description: WINNER OF THE 2023 ORIGINS AWARDS FOR BEST MINIATURES GAME. An expanded edition of the Origins Award-nominated Lion Rampant, featuring new rules, scenarios, and sample armies. Take to the battlefield as Richard the Lionheart, Joan of Arc or William Wallace - or forge your own legend - with Lion Rampant: Second Edition. From the Dark Ages to the Hundred Years' War, raids, skirmishes, and clashes between small retinues were a crucial part of warfare, and these dramatic small-scale battles are at the heart of this easy-to-learn but tactically rewarding wargame. Lion Rampant: Second Edition is a new, updated version of the hit Osprey Wargames series title, and retains the core gameplay while also incorporating a wealth of new rules and updates from several years' worth of player feedback and development. Whether they are looking to recreate historical encounters or tell their own stories, the varied scenarios, unit types, and sample retinue lists found in this volume provide everything players need to face each other in quick, exciting, and, above all, fun tabletop battles.

Review: In the first version i hated the command sequence where you lost the rest of your turn if you failed the command roll. in the new version you have some optional rules which mean each unit can try to do something every turn. Which means my peasant revolt force can all try to do something.

Review: Goodish rules, nothing partcularly new, there is a lot of white space with large margins, so how much is the cost of blank paper and no qrs?

Description: Whether you're a nameless Dark Lord looking to conquer the known world, a Champion of Light holding out against the forces of evil or a Northern barbarian facing claimants to a stolen throne, Dragon Rampant allows you to bring those battles to the tabletop. Developed from the popular Lion Rampant system, Dragon Rampant is a standalone wargame that recreates the great battles of Fantasy fiction. Scenarios, army lists, and full rules for magic and monsters give players the opportunity to command unruly orc warbands, raise armies of the undead, campaign across an antediluvian world as the warchief of a barbarian tribe, or exploit the power of mighty creatures and extraordinary sorcery. An army usually consists of 6-8 units comprised of 6-12 individually based figures. These small units move and fight independently, assuming that they follow your orders rather than just doing their own thing. Command and control is just as important on the battlefield as the power of a troll chieftain or the magic of an archmage.

Description: How does a very small girl hide a very large lion? It's not easy, but Iris has to do her best, because mums and dads can be funny about having a lion in the house. Luckily, there are lots of good places to hide a lion - behind the shower curtain, in your bed, and even up a tree. But Iris can't hide her lion forever, and when her mum discovers him, he has to run away and hide all on his own. When the lion sees three robbers stealing from the town hall, it's his chance to show everyone that he is, after all, a kind (and very brave) lion - just like Iris always said. The first irresistible picture book about Iris and her lion. A heart-warming story about a very special friendship, with a wonderfully heroic ending. Painted in Helen Stephens' much-loved retro style. Praise for How to Hide a Lion: Funny and warm-hearted Axel Scheffler, illustrator of The Gruffalo I read How to Hide a Lion with my son. We love it together. David Walliams OTHER TITLES IN THE SERIES How to Hide a Lion from Grandma How to Hide a Lion at School How to Hide a Lion at Christmas.
